Precious Metals

Gold-filled

In our experience, you can keep our gold-filled pieces on even in contact with water and other non-corrosive substances. Our pieces maintain their shine and properties most when they are kept on (Ej: keeping your rings on).

Here are some tips to preserve your pieces:

1) Clean it regularly using a little bit of warm water or a silver cleaning cloth.

2) Always store your jewelry in plastic bags after using.

Under normal wearing conditions, and proper care, our jewelry can last for a lifetime, but be aware that heavy wear/rough conditions might affect the longevity of your pieces

Brass

Our jewelry is made of solid brass and will eventually tarnish with age. Brass can accumulate dirt and greasy oils and may oxidize over time when exposed to air and moisture. However, we apply an acrylic base coat to prolong the shine of our brass products. We recommend to take off any brass jewelry when in contact with water and moisture to prevent oxidization. When the brass no longer contains the shine, we recommend you use the following products, one or the other, to clean the pieces:(brasso or nail buffer)

Gold Plated

The chemical process of making gold-plated pieces is an electrochemical process. They're gold atoms sticking to the base metal, which in our case is brass. The longevity of each gold-plated piece depends on how many times the base metal is introduced in the substance and for how long. Currently, our gold-plated pieces are not done in our studio, therefore we don't know with certainty for how long they are submerged. Knowing that, our recommendation is that gold-plated pieces are taken off before contact with water and other chemicals such as perfume, to avoid tarnish.

We are working towards being able to complete this electrochemical process in our studio and be able to offer guarantee on the longevity of our pieces.
